Every year, military brats from across the nation and around the world gather as one community to celebrate our progress, strengthen our institutions, and chart the course for the future.
Welcome
The Annual Brat Corps® General Assembly is the official opening session of the Military Brat National Convention™ and the ceremonial gathering of the worldwide Brat Corps® community.
Held during National Military Brat Heritage Week™, the General Assembly brings together military brats, Brat Corps® Posts, delegates, national leadership, military families, educators, researchers, nonprofit organizations, corporate partners, government representatives, and distinguished guests for one purpose:
To gather as one community.
It is the moment when the military brat community pauses to celebrate where we have been, recognize what we have accomplished, and look confidently toward the future we are building together.
The General Assembly reflects the spirit of Brat Corps®, a worldwide community connected not by geography, but by shared experience, lifelong belonging, and a commitment to one another.
The Purpose of the General Assembly
The General Assembly serves as the official annual gathering of the Brat Corps® community and establishes the tone for the Military Brat National Convention™.
Its purpose is to:
Celebrate the growth of the military brat community.
Welcome delegates and participants from around the world.
Present the State of Brat Corps® Address.
Recognize organizational milestones and achievements.
Introduce new initiatives and strategic priorities.
Celebrate new Brat Corps® Posts and institutional partners.
Inspire the next generation of military brat leaders.
Reaffirm our shared mission and vision.
Every General Assembly strengthens the bonds that unite our worldwide community.
A Ceremony of Unity
The General Assembly is designed to be one of the most inspiring experiences of National Military Brat Heritage Week™.
Through ceremony, storytelling, music, recognition, and shared tradition, participants are reminded that while military brats may come from different branches, installations, generations, and countries, they belong to one enduring community.
It is a celebration of who we are.
It is also a declaration of who we are becoming.
Featured General Assembly Traditions
Parade of Brat Corps® Posts™
Representatives from Brat Corps® Posts across the country and around the world enter the Assembly carrying their official Post banners, symbolizing the growth and unity of the military brat movement.
As new Posts are established, the Parade becomes a living representation of an expanding global network.
Welcome of New Posts
One of the Assembly's most anticipated traditions is the official recognition of newly chartered Brat Corps® Posts.
Each newly established Post is welcomed before the entire Convention and presented with its Charter of Recognition, symbolizing its place within the growing Brat Corps® family.
State of Brat Corps® Address
Presented annually by the National Commander or National President, the State of Brat Corps® Address provides an overview of the organization's progress and future direction.
