Membership | Who can join Brat Corps®?
Brat Corps® welcomes military brats of every generation. Membership opportunities also exist for family members, supporters, volunteers, and organizational partners in accordance with Brat Corps® membership classifications.
Can I join if I live overseas?
Yes.
Brat Corps® is building a worldwide community with members throughout the United States and internationally.
What is a military brat?
A military brat is an individual whose life has been shaped by growing up in a military-connected family through active duty, reserve, National Guard, veteran service, or other qualifying military-connected experiences as recognized by Brat Corps®.
Is there an age requirement?
No.
Brat Corps® is intentionally designed as a lifelong community serving military brats from childhood through adulthood and into their heritage years.

A Community Circle™ is often the first step toward building a future Brat Corps® Post™. It brings military brats together locally for connection, planning, and community-building before a chartered Post™ is established.
Starting a Brat Corps® Post™

Military brats, veterans, educators, military spouses, civic leaders, community organizations, and other qualified individuals committed to the Brat Corps® mission may apply to begin the charter process.

Many successful Brat Corps® Posts™ begin by meeting in schools, libraries, community centers, military installations, houses of worship, or other shared facilities while they grow toward a permanent Home Base™.

Yes.
National provides guidance, training, branding resources, charter support, leadership development, and ongoing mentorship throughout the charter process.

The timeline depends on local readiness, leadership capacity, and community engagement. Every community develops at its own pace.
