Battle of the Bases™ – The Premier Military-Connected Esports Tournament

Tournament Overview:

Battle of the Bases™ is the annual national championship for military brats and military-connected competitors.

A three-day event featuring 1,600+ competitors across 5 divisions, competing in multiple game titles for $500k–$1M in prize pools, scholarships, and sponsorship opportunities.

First-place winners receive esports scholarships ($10k–$50k/year), professional sponsorship deals, and invitations to international tournaments.

The tournament showcases military-brat talent to the world while celebrating military-connected esports community.

With 4,600+ travelers (flights, hotels, meals), 50,000+ concurrent viewers (streaming), and $8–12M local economic impact per host city, Battle of the Bases is one of the largest Military Brat esports tournaments in North America.

Day 1–2 feature the USA National Championship (1,600+ competitors, regional qualifiers).

Day 3 features USA Brats vs. NATO Alliances exhibition, introducing international military-brat esports competition and coalition building.

Competition Structure:

  • 1,600+ Competitors across 5 divisions

  • 5 Game Titles: Valorant, League of Legends, CS2, Fortnite, Rocket League (rotating annually)

  • 5 Competitive Divisions:

  • Division 1: Youth (U-16) – ages 13–15

  • Division 2: Young Adult (17–25) – ages 17–25

  • Division 3: Adult (26–40) – ages 26–40

  • Division 4: Senior (41+) – ages 41 and above

  • Division 5: Mixed Teams – all ages, mixed teams (4+ players)

Regional Qualifier Pipeline:

Military brats compete throughout the year in local Posts and regional tournaments to earn spots at Battle of the Bases nationals. Qualification structure:

Local Tournaments (Monthly at 50+ Posts):

  • Winners advance to Quarterly Regional Tournaments

Tournament Structure (per game/division):

  • Group Stage (Week 1): Qualify through regional qualifiers or Post tournaments

  • Brackets (Days 1–2): 64-team bracket per game (group play, quarterfinals, semifinals, finals)

  • Finals Format: Best-of-3 (group stage) → Best-of-5 (playoffs)

  • Grand Finals (Day 2, Evening): Championship match, 50k+ concurrent viewers

  • Bidding process: Cities submit applications (deadline November 2026)

  • Selection criteria: Venue capacity, travel access, local military presence, DoD support, sponsorship commitments

  • Expected cities: Las Vegas, Austin, Atlanta, San Diego (final decision by Sept 1, 2026)

  • Arena capacity: 5,000–10,000 spectators

  • Gaming stations: 64+ tournament PCs (provided by Brat Corps)

  • Streaming production: Professional-grade AV/broadcast infrastructure

  • Spectator seating: Upper and lower bowl, VIP areas

  • Partner support: ASM Global (arena operations partner)
