Military Brat Community Circle

Community Circle™

Every Home Base™ Begins With a Circle.

  • Before there is a Brat Corps Post™, there is a conversation.

  • Before there is a building, there is a community.

  • Before there is a charter, there are people who believe military brats deserve a place to belong.

That first gathering is called a Community Circle™.

It is where friendships begin, ideas take shape, leaders emerge, and the foundation for a future Home Base™ is established.

Every Brat Corps Post™ begins here.

What Is a Community Circle™?

A Community Circle™ is the official first step in establishing a Brat Corps Post™.

It is a local gathering of military brats, families, veterans, community leaders, educators, and supporters who share one common goal:

  • To build a lasting Home Base™ for military brats in their community.

  • Some Community Circles™ may meet in libraries, schools, coffee shops, military installations, universities, or community centers.

  • Others may begin virtually.

The location is not what defines a Community Circle™.

The people do.

Every Great Community Starts Small

History reminds us that extraordinary institutions often begin with ordinary conversations.

Around a kitchen table.

In a classroom.

At a local library.

In a church fellowship hall.

At a military family gathering.

Every Brat Corps Post™ begins with individuals willing to gather, listen, dream, and build something that will serve generations to come.

Community Circle™ honors those beginnings.

What Happens in a Community Circle™?

Community Circles™ focus on four essential activities.

Build Relationships

Create friendships rooted in shared military brat experiences.

Listen

Learn what military brats and families in your community need most.

Serve

Organize volunteer projects that strengthen both the military-connected and civilian communities.

Grow

Develop leaders, recruit members, build partnerships, and prepare for future chartering as a Brat Corps Post™.

Every meeting moves the community one step closer to becoming a permanent Home Base™.

Founding Members

Every Brat Corps Post™ has pioneers.

The people who participate during the Community Circle™ stage become part of the permanent history of that Home Base™.

Future generations will know who believed first.

Who gathered first.

Who dreamed first.

Who built first.

Founding Members leave a legacy that extends far beyond the opening of a building.

They become part of the story of Brat Corps itself.

Imagine Your Community

Imagine ten military brats sitting around a table.

Sharing stories.

Remembering schools.

Laughing about old duty stations.

Talking about children who deserve the same sense of belonging.

Someone asks:

"What if we built something permanent?"

That single question begins a journey.

Months later...

Families gather.

Volunteers step forward.

Partnerships form.

Programs begin.

Leaders emerge.

A Charter is granted.

The doors of a new Brat Corps Post™ open.

Every Home Base™ begins with one courageous decision.

To begin.

One Circle.

Endless Possibilities.

Community Circle™ is more than a meeting.

It is the beginning of a movement.

Every Home Base™ that serves future generations will trace its story back to a small group of people who believed that military brats deserved something permanent.

Perhaps the next Community Circle™ begins with you.

Start the Circle.

Build the Future.

If your community does not yet have a Brat Corps Post™, don't wait for someone else.

Gather.

Connect.

Serve.

Lead.

Build.

The next Home Base™ may begin with one conversation.
